Ok, heres what I got. Amd 2100xp, 512 ddr, Win XP, Toshiba SD-R5002 DVD-Rom. Using DVD r-. I have no problems backing up dvd's, when done I try to play them in my Panasonic player, (which says can play all DVD R - or +) In the panasonic, one video came up fine, but was choppy, like it was skipping, all the way through the movie. Next movie would not even play. On my laptop, the skippy movie would not play with Windvd, but played fine on Windows media player, second movie would only play sound on media player, and no where else. I updated to the newer version, and same thing. Any suggestions??

How are you backing them up?

    I use:
    DVDdecrypter
    DVD2one
RecordNow (many others use Roxio here)

Keep reading my friend. All the details are posted on this forum.

I am using DVD X Copy.
I have tried it, and the Nero option incorporated into X copy. Same results. I am using some no name media from a local pc store. I dont know what brand or specs on it.

Put one of you blank DVD's in the drive start decrypter and choose ISO read mode.
In the panel on the right will be a bunch of information about your blank disc. the important part is the lead in code.

RITEK G03or MCC 01..RG2 or P..CMC MA..G or PRINCO or something.

I suspect that you have crap media, buy something decent.

see here for media and the advanced info on each

Media does have a lot to do with it.

The above URL posted by malum is a site I use regularly also.
I suggest Ritek , Verbatim or Datawrite Classic perhaps.
