I have a new (PAL) slim PS2 and want to play a PSX backup. I havea few questions, if you can answer any one of them, please answer. I appreciate it.

    1. Is the version on these new machines important to note in determining my ability to play PSX backup games? If so, could you explain how to determine what version my machine is.

    2. Is the latest Swap Magic disc a solution? Does the disc work perfectly with most PSX games? I haven't bought any backup enabling devices/discs yet and would prefer to get a single solution and not open up my machine. Mod chips are not an option.

Otherwise, I suppose I'll just have to purchase more games while San Andreas keeps me occupied.

Thanks in advance to those who reply.

swapmagic won't load ps1 games, it only loads ps2 imports/backups, to load ps1 backups you need to use somthing like breaker pro(but i'm not 100% sure that it works on on the latest version of ps2)

can any other forum members confirm that breaker pro works on the new slimline v12 ps2
