I was thinking of buying the newest slim version of the PS2 I suppose that would be the V14. Along with that I want to use Swap Magic with a flip top instead of spending more money and effort getting the bloody thing chipped.
My question is if I used Swap Magic to boot instead of a chip can I still use something like Action Replay V10 or Gameshark V4 for the codes? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The newest version of PS2 is v16 or v15

I just bought a new one at Wal-Mart. It turned out to be v15.

There is no version 16 as of yet. I have read a couple of posts that some sites are claiming a version 16, but in general it's still a v15 at this point. Of course, check this post date against future versions when that time comes before posting...

Right, V15 got it. Can I use swap magic on it and still use a codebreaker , gameshark and action replay to enter codes?

Well, there is a way to convert codes from different code systems to normal action replay codes (the code system swap magic 3.8 uses).
