I have a PS2 with a no-solder mod chip. I've had it for about a year and had no problems at all using my Swap Magic disks. Then suddenly my DVD boot disk stopped working, but the CD disk worked fine. I then borrowed a friends DVD Swap Magic boot disk and it worked great for about a week, now I'm having problems using that boot disk too. The boot up "swap disk" screen appears, but when I swap disks and hit X, nothing happens except a black screen. Normal PS 2 disks work fine though. Any ideas?????

Dude if you got swap magic just take the front cover of off your cd tray and swap with a slide tool.

I thought that the chip was only to open and close the tray......I didn't think that it had anything to do with reading the disks.
