My xbox is toast i have another thread in the wrong location Newbie stupid i guess. I put it under general when it needed to be under boot section. This is a different question.
If i put in a motherboard, HDD combo version 1.0 that's what mine is, to replace the one in my unit, will i still be able to log on to xbox live and play or is there some things i have to do to make it happen? Will i have to get a new account? thanks

As long as it's a xbox hard drive you can. I would think the same with the motherboard but it might also have to be the same version as your xbox was. If you can get your account onto the xbox with the new hard drive and motherboard then you could play on xbl again.
