I know this question has prolly been asked a hundred times, but I couldn't find any other threads that helped me out.

When I playback a movie I just finished encoding, it starts out fine and the sound gradually gets out of sync. Also, if you try to fast foreward the movie, the sound it way out of sync... or is it the video out of sync.... who knows.

    Ripped with: DVD Decrypter 3.1.4.0
Converted to DV2 and WAV with DVD2AVI 1.77.3
-Audio Track 1 / Decoded to WAV
    -Forced Film and YUV
Converted to AVI with TMPGEnc 2.5
    -Divx 5.0.2 Pro
    -1 pass 780kbps
    -Keyframe every 300 frames
    -Max quat. 9 min 6
    -720x480 24bit
    -Sound
    -LAME 3.93.1
    -MP3 128kBits 44,1000 Hz Stereo

I used to rip/encode DVDs back in the day and they were great. I don't know what I did different then...

For those of you wondering, I fixed the problem myself. To get rid of the sync problem, you must simple use 48,000 Hz instead of 44,100 when encoding the sound. Thanks for all the help guys, it pays to be a loner.
