I have a new dell XPS with a samsung sw-252s cd/rw burner. I backed up some photos on a TDK cd-rw 10X media, and when I put the cd in, it just reads, when I try to access the d:, it locks up. anyone know why this happens?
I have tryed 2 other mfg's media with no help, including formatting & writing at slow speeds.
I am using Win XP Pro, Nero 6.3.
The drive did work fine when "Sonic Now DLS" was installed. But got rid of it due to many other limitations.
Anybody got any clues? There must be more of us out there with same problem on Dell systems.

I did check Dell tech. support, they claim it's a software problem. There not much help.
