    Hi

Been using Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD+R in my Pioneer with no probs, but my Samsung HD-745 doesn't play some (about 20%). All burnt identically so don't know why it's picky with some. Any ideas or can anyone suggest media good for the Samsung.

    Thanks

    how fast are you burning?
    try slowing down burn speed

I mistyped my thread slightly. All my discs play in my Pioneer DVD player OK but are burnt in my Aopen at 12x (works fine even though media is rated at 8x) and i've never had a coaster. It's just playback in the Samsung that can be problematic (doesn't recognise disk). I can try slowing down but can speed affect playback in different players then?

    Update:

Burned at 4x and it's plays in the Samsung! Will try 8x later but thanks for the tip. Didn't want to have to offload 70 discs as they don't run in my Samsung.
