taking off firewall

    i have just got a nb1300 adsl modem and i need to take the firewall off to play a game - can anyone help me?

    hmm adsl modem

    they dont usually have firewall, do you mean your software firewall? which firewall is it

    then again its not clever to disable firewalls...

    i connected to broadband with an NB1300 modem (netcomm) - i took of the XP firewall but that didnt work and i took off nortons firewall and that didnt work either - it says it has NAT firewall protection - is that it?
    i have no clue

    Modem probably has a built in router dont it? If so, you'll have to set yourself in the modem/router's DMZ but odds are that such functionality will not be available and you'll have to get a switch/router for it to work :)
