those disks are great. I got four 25 packs from best buy when they were having a sale, and I was very pleasantly suprised by their high quality. I've gone through about 50 so far with perfect success.

    No problem for me!
Have tried 8X TTG02 and 4X TTG01 from TDK without a single coaster, using Pioneer DVR-108 or NEC 1300 burners.

My two Sony DVD writers wouldn't even recognize these discs to beign the burn process. First time out of several different kinds of discs that this has ever happened to me.

Recent Sony burners have been LiteOns in disquise, which prefer +R media in general. May want to try a firmware upgrade for -R disk non recognition

Nah, I've had both burners for a while and both never have had a problem recognizing a DVD- or +r. These were just some jacked up discs.
