hey people may need a little help here bought the old Starview and have been very happy but i want to try the New Box see how it goes its genuine as i bought it off the same site i bought the last one from and that was the real thing tell me will i need to flash it ? if so with what ? any thing else i need to know would be a great help thanks
It depends on the site you are buying it from some sites provide them with the latest firmware on it some don't if you bought your original Starview from the same site did it come updated ? if so I'd say The Box will too but if it doesn't you'll need a null modem cable to put the latest firmware version 4.50 for Ireland or 4.51 if you are in the uk on it for The Box.You'll find info on the cable here:http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6
Just adding my 2 cent worth lol The Starvi*w and "THE B0X" will do exactly the Same thing Stay with what you have and save your money
