Just got new Box but remote doesnt seem to work properly. Its not the batteries, but nothing selects after the language. Got as far as 'installation' but can't get it to scan!!

If you have a mobile phone with a camera, switch it to camera mode. Point the remote at the camera lens, and you should see the infra-red LED flashing on the screen. If you don't see it flashing, then yes, the remote is dead.If you do see it flashing, then it's not the remote.

    Excellent info sc0user,

I just had some fun checking my remotes.
Mr's 56 was asking me why I was taking photo's of the remotes.

Hope you are well my friend.

    Hi celt,

My curiosity got the better of me again.

I tried sc0user's solution with a digital camera and it works the same.

He has more tricks than Tommy Cooper! MAGIC

Jim .. You could open the b0x carefully and see if the connector at the LED screen is loose or not connected properly
