Thanks endo. Looks like it's gonna be a long hot summer. For the second night now you can actually smell the diesel like aroma here in BR. Strong SE winds.

Will that affect the crawfish industry as well?

Probably not. But Crawfish season is almost over with-less than 6 weeks left. Crawfish are fresh water-not even brackish water either. Most people won't eat oysters for the next 4 month either-no Rs. The big question is what will a big hurricane do with the slick. Gulf beaches in Ms, Al, and Fl are really at risk right now. A mess-BP probably doesn't have enough cash to fix this problem. We're already seeing the ambulance chasing lawyers in ads on TV!

yeah I know the craws are fresh water but still a spill can do wonders, man I feel for you guys out there, and if the oysters ger affected I don't think it will be months, more than likely years and I hope I'm wrong.

I didn't have time to make lunch for work, doing a 9pm to 7am shift tonight. Local pizza place has (pick-up only) large 2item for $5.99! My 2 items= pepperoni, 1/2 ham & 1/2 mushroom

I've eaten at that place! It's in Michigan right? I went there 10 years ago and it was featured on Food Network show this year...Tony's I-75 at Birch Run! Good BLT, If you look closely you can see a blade of lettuce at about 10 o'clock on the plate LOL

Just returned from Cajun Land for a day of gourmet shopping for the good stuff of home.

Had the pleasure of a nice plate of charbroiled oysters, cup of gumbo, and huge fried oysters and shrimp! They were the size of my big fat thumb and best still they had not been marinated in petrol. So far all is good in eats land.

Revived thread for 4th of July cookouts...Cooked these beef tenderloin steaks on the grill...[IMG]this pic is better, shows thickness [IMG]
Sauteed mushrooms topped the steak, had corn on cob and baked potato as sides.
Sorry about cheap cell phone pics

Yes, the juice was literally like melted butter... Not the easiest cut of meat to grill due to thickness but one of the best tasting when done right I think...
