    Hello all,
I want to ask those with great knowledge what they think of the new LAME codecs, they have a different Q=0 than the previous 3.93.1 and are much slower, 140 minutes (vs. 16 minutes) to encode a 1.27GB WAV file. I have heard that the new codec makes much more careful 'choices' when it processes at the Q=0 setting (good!) but man, the time-thing is killin' me (LoL)!
My example rip uses 160 kbs CBR and yields about 132MB, and my 3.96 codec does give me excellent quality...
What do you guys think: just run it overnite?
