   i cant install half life 2 cd rom because i get the message "the system can not read the specified device" i am running 2000 and a reasonable pc. I cant think what to do. HelP PLEASE. its a legal copy and all that. Jus wont run

   Does this happen only with Half Life 2 or does the drive refuse to recognize everything you stick in it?

   only half life 2 mate. the dvd rom version works though? its odd
