    I burn at max speed, and it always burns at the speed the disc is rated for.

    would 8x be a better choice over the 16x ones?? Or exactly the same?? Does burning slower create a higher quality disk is basically what im asking.

    Some people believe that slower burns are better. I think burning at what the disc is rated for, is fine.
    Older dvd players might have a problem with 16X discs. You may be better off with the 8X.

    I'm Canadian as well and $85 per 100 discs is way too much to pay. I got Verbatims for around $50 ($25 per 25) from blankmedia.ca
