   Can I install different audio codecs into TMPGenc, I cant get it to recognize the audio files in a movie.

   Not into TMPGEnc, but install into Windows. TMPGEnc uses DirectShow to decode the streams.

   PS: you may have to bump up the prioity of the DirectShow VFAPI plugin under 'environmental settings' as well.

   control panel -> sound -> hardware tab.
