    Hi,
This is the first time I have used tmpge to convert an avi to vcd(pal). I set up the conversion using instructions provided and start the process. At 27% complete it returns an error "TMPGEnc has caused an access violation error in kernl32.exe" and the process stops. I have tried using the same hdd to convert, as well as one hdd to another but it stops at 27% each time. I am using a p3 600, 639mb ram, 18 gig scsi hdd and win98 se. I would be grateful for any help offered.

    Thanx in advance

    Matt

    In TMPGEnc.

click option - environmental settings. click the vfapi plug-in tab and look for DirectShow File Reader in the list! Right click it and raise its priority until it reaches 2 and then try encoding again!!
