Im using the program stated in the title. "tmpgenc dvd author 3 with divx authoring importing troubles". Anyways im trying to convert a Death Note movie into DVD format (and i want a menu option). So the movie is a .avi file but when i try to upload it, i get an error saying that the audio part cannot be opened. Can you help me with this? Also, if you can't help, then suggest a good program to convert into dvd format that also gives me options to create chapters and menus and w/e else im missing. Thx.

What about the audio that TMPGenc was complaining about.

i don't know what went wrong. It doesn't say what part of the audio is messed. It just said that the audio cannot be opened.

What is the type of audio contained in the file.
The box, lower left, should have the codec information.

All I see is that the Video (top right) says there's no XviD codec installed.
    Try this one.
    XVid Codec

Install it then run TMPGenc again and see if there is a difference.

Still not working, here is the pic of the error in the program when i try to upload and a pic of me using that Gspot thing with the same video. I already have a pic of it but i thought i would show another one. So it's still not working for me.

Here is the program showing its error message:

This is the picture of the same file in that Gspot program thing:

I assume you installed the codec, so do Gspot again and verify that it says the codec is installed (top right, status).

If you press 'Start' > 'All programs', Xvid' should be listed among your programs.

In TMPgenc click 'Options' > 'Preferences'
On left window, click on 'AVI settings', a list of codecs opens and 'Xvid' should be in there with a 'Yes' against it.

    Good luck.
