   i convert AVI to MPEG throgh TMPGEnc but when i burn it with nero i get message saying that this file is not MPEG nero will convert it..

   are you making vcd or svcd. Svcd requires the mpeg2 plugin. Also, in nero, you have 2 video choices - super vcd and vcd. Make sure you select the correct one.
