hey, i have an xvid version of a movie, but when i open it in TMPGENc it says it cannot open. It has Mpeg audio.
You could try one thing. Click on option/environmental settings/vfapi plugin/right click on direct show, and raise the priority to 2. I hope that works for you jim
hey thanks for all the help. jim_dandy the thing you told me didnt work but thanks anyway and FartDude how do i uncompress the audio
Well there is a freeware proggy called avi2vcd dl this and use the other app called decompress this will uncompress the audio in a avi and make it pcm tmpge reads pcm much better anyway, usually the file after bein uncompressed will be about 1 gig or so. let me know if this works for ya
Using decompress exe. all you have to do is,click browse, find your movie, and click decompress. after the movie is decompressed, youll now have 2 movies, the one that the biggest is the one you load up in TMPGEnc.
can you watch it, and hear it on your computer,if not then you dont have the necessary codecs. If you can watch it on your computer, then check out your problems, with that very useful link that veblin posted.
