torrent clients not effected by router

    recently i was asked by a family member who lives 2000miles away from me about azurues and a router, the thing was i couldn't help him configer ports because he isn't smart enough to tell me what type of router, my question is are there any torrent clients not effected by routers

    No, ntop to my knowledge. Routers affect the entire internet connection.

    I asked the exact same question a couple of days ago

    And the answer I got is that no matter if you have a router or a normal DSL modem, it wont change a thing.

    this is what I was told "A router is not designed to improve your connection speed... it is designed to "route" (obviously) data"
