I am using nero vision 4 (part of nero ultra 7) to make DVD-video. My original video titles (clips) are in MPEG-2 format. Is it possible to make nero vision not to transcode the titles (since they are aleardy in MPEG-2) so to save time, or transcoding is a necesary step in making a DVD even if your titles are aleardy in MPEG-2 format? Thanks.

Thanks Gwendolin for pointing to the guide. I did read this guide before and was able to make DVDs using Nero Vision. However the transcoding time is normally a few hours (1.5 to 2.5 hrs) and so I wondered if Vision actually needs to do the transcoding at all given that the titles are already in MPEG-2 format. Thanks.

It normally takes me the same amount of time for MPEG files as it does for AVI files, usually a movie about 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Thanks. It's good to know that I am using the product the right way. :)
