I have some backed up movies that I want to move to a Fat32 formatted external HDD to use with my PS3 but in the Fat32 format I cant move anything lager than 4 Gb which is most of the movies.

I wanted to use the external HDD as a movie server but cant overcome the 4Gb limitation.

    Any way around this?

The 4 GB limit is a Fat32 format issue. Is it a requirement that the external HDD be Fat32 for the PS3 to read it?? My external hard drive (used for file backups) is formatted in NTFS. File size is no problem.

But, I do not have a PS3, so have no idea if the PS3 works with NTFS. If it does read NTFS, backup all of your files, reformat the external drive, and transfer away.
