I am very frustrated with my burner. It can read and write CDs, and also read DVD's but it can't burn a DVD. I keep getting an error on leadin saying "power calibration area error". I have tried burning with nero and DVD decrypter thinking it was the software. My burner is a MASHITA UJ-810. Can anyone help me out. Thanks

What media are you useing? Sometimes poor quality media will cause that error. Try some good quality media (no memorex or retail store branded media, Staples etc).

Do a Google search on 'power calibration error'. You'll see that most causes of it are bad media and a dirty or dying burner. I got it on my old NEC burner, and what worked temporarily was burning at slower speeds and burning soon after startup before the burner got hot.
