I suspect you will have a much better chance of getting some help on this issue if you try to give the knowledgable users here a bit of information. Lacking a crystal ball, they may not be able to help you.

-WHAT is the error message you are receiving? Error messages will always help to at least narrow the focus, so we are not suggesting the thousands of things that sometimes go wrong, but did not, in this case.
-What type of media are you using?
-What type of DVD burner are you using?
-I noticed you are (apparently) trying to use DVDShrink. Is this an attempt to burn with compression, or have you split the film to two DVDs?
-Which version of DVDShrink? At what speed are you trying to burn?

Remember, the more information you can give, the more relevent and effective any advice or help is likely to be. With no information, the frustration felt by those who would like to help is akin to reading a post that says: "This is not working. Fix it!"

    In other words, useless.

    I/O Error!

erm, the original poster is already using decrypter; we don't know if it's the latest version, but the incredibles hasn't got any funny protections on it from what i and others have seen. No protection chip either :)

    Not good ... enable DMA.

I backed up this movie by ... ripping w/ DVD Decrypter and then running it through Recode2.

Don't know if I helps but I use Datawrite - only discs
I have used these on all comps I have owned never had a problem. You do get the odd one that declines to play. But then I buy quite cheap 25 spindle of them so I put it down to this.Having said that it may be 1 in 50 bad disc.Have gross trouble using + discs none of them play for me.Have you tried - ?

mar02, I noticed in the log the burn speed was at 8x, have you tried burning at 4x?

Reetan, is your standalone compatible with the media you are using? Early ones would not "do" the "plus" format, only the "dash" format.
I have had a 100% success rate with the Datawrite media. I only use +RW discs BTW.

if using +R disks and they don''t always play on standalones, look into the book type setting, i've posted on this 2 or so times in last couple days for other ppl, so maybe do a search on my posts if u like. Not sure where exactly, 'fraid afterdawn's search facility isn't very good

    hi all

if you are burning with dvd decrypter and you have one of the drives listed in the box below you can burn in different ways to make more compatible for standalone players!

i wonder why theres more setings for a LITE-ON --- hehehe, its cos the maker of dvd decrypter uses? guess what ? yup a lite-on drive

i just got a datawrite and my pioneer wont read it!!!! but my old samsung dvdrom reads it ok!
