trouble reading from CD-RW

    Hello,

When I write to a cd-rw for the second time, I have trouble reading from it. One file on the disk can be OK, while another can give the error-message 'Not a valid MS-DOS' function when I try to read/copy it.
The first time I use the CD-RW everything works fine, but then I erase it (using NERO, fast erase), record on it again (using Easy CD creator), and then I get the problem mentioned above.

    Chronologically :
    ----------------
    1. I record on a CD-RW using Easy CD Creator (and LG CD-writer)
    2. I erase the CD-RW using Nero (fast erase)
    3. I record on it again (using Easy Cd Creator)
    4. I try to copy the contents of that CD-RW to the harddisk of my PC --> error : "Not a valid MS-DOS function" (--> Note : this is a direct translation from the Dutch error message)

What could be the problem ?

    Thanx in advance !

    Greets
    Robert

    Hi,

It might be a conflict between Nero and Roxio, they simply do not work well together. I'd suggest ditching Roxio and using only Nero.

Why the need to use both on the same disc?

Get rid of Roxio and use nero - a better program you will not find. Had the simular problem... nero has never let me down!!!
