Trouble signing onto PS3 internet...

    i have a verizon DSL. tried testing the connection. tried something else ( i forget what ) and i got error 000000....i'm not sure where to go from here. i also tried acquiring a ip address and it did not connect.

    do you use your dsl on your computer ever?

    yes, this same combination used to work with my ps2. i would pull the plug out of one and insert the other. now i can't get any reaction out of my ps3.

    Try to power cycle your internet and PS3.

    You also may require a system update. That's what happened with mine.

    I can't download the system update because the ps3 doesn't recognize that i have an internet connection

    dl the update from http://www.playstation.com from your comp n copy it onto a mem card/flash drive. make sure the update is in a foldr called UPDATE that should be inside a folder called PS3 which is located in the root of your mem stick. then plug in ur flash drive/mem card, go to system update and select the option that does not involve the wifi(there's only 2 options and i frgt what they're called). then it should detect hte update n u shud be able to update your system
