I know this is a simple procedure, but I am trying to take the old operating system off the computer so I can put a new windows xp on my laptop. any help?
the Windows disk will do it during the install as long as you choose the full format and install option.
it states that a newer version is on the computer, and I cannot use the current disk. I want to erase the hard drive, add the new xp and do the updates for the newly installed xp.
