I had a hard mod installed for me last year as I'm awful with a soldering gun and would much rather have a professional do things like that. Since then the installer went out of business. I don't recall what the name of the mod was and the installer didn't tell me which firmware he installed. I'd like to update the firmware so it can play AP2.5 games without issue.

I believe I have the Philips-LiteOn 16D2S inside. I've found the big PDF tutorial for jungleflasher and am going to try my best to wade through it with my limited technological knowledge for this topic. I'm fairly competent in windows issues but the whole process of xbox stuff is a bit daunting.

Any tips you can give me to make this easier?
Can you predict any problems you expect I would have?

if he actually installed a switch on your drive it should be really easy, if he did not it may be virtually impossible, not knowing what you are doing and trying to go over somebody else's soldering would most likely be disastrous. to make it easier on you you may want to look into getting a usbpro and probe 3
