    Hi to all.

I just bought this dvd recorder and the problem is that windows can't identify it as a dvd recorder. They see it only as CD-Rom so the write prosses of either CD or DVD isn't available to either Nero,Windows drag&drop rec method or another cd/dvd rec program i have.I have tried everything i could think of(changed IDE port, made it a master, made it slave). The BIOS identifies it correctly and the windows driver is set correctly for the specific device.

Any solution to this?If anyone could help i would be very greatfull!

Do not have this unit but was interested in Samung Burners as they were reported as a possible replacement in Liteo/ilo recorders
It sounds like you have done the basics
There have been a number of problems reported on cdfreeks [and I’m sure elseware] but I see no answers but you might try them

This thread speaks somewhat to you post. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=211681

Also what does Samsung say about such a problem
    http://www.samsung.com/ContactUs/ContactUs.htm
The unit is listed under [Computers and Related Products] DVD- Multi
