I received my friends broken psp to use for myself, while i already have one, its on firmware 3.4 and the damaged one is 2.8 So I proceeded on to fix the screen which was cracked before. My next issue, is the UMD optical drive...It won't read any games, and clanks as it try's to read said games. Is there a way to replace the UMD drive? If so, where can I purchase it, and how can it be done?

Im pretty sure the laser moved out of position, the psp was probably dropped and you need to move it back to its original position. Its a easy fix this happend to me but I forgot the forum it was in.Search for it so you can see where your laser should be
