I have an avi file with what seems like a "fixed" volume level. Lowering system sound does nothing, lower media player sound does nothing, lowering the media player level in the system's volume mixer does nothing - any ideas here? (using windows media player, fyi)

    Not a clue.
    Load the file in AviDemux.
Click 'Audio' > 'Save Audio' (give it a name like clip.mp3 if it's an mp3 or whatever).
Upload the clip to a file share and post the link.
