I use an NEC 1100A DVD+RW to backup DVD movies. I have TDK 2.4x DVD+RW media.
I dont have alot of troble w/DVD-5, but the dual layer DVDs are a problem.
I have tried using DVD Shrink to get the file down (no more than level 4, in the main movie and level 10 in the extras).
I then use Nero (trial version) to burn.
Every attempt has given a copy that is unwatchable (skips and stops).
My DVD Player is a JVC XV-S502SL.
    Is my problem:
    The TDK media (2.4x +RW),
    The NEC 1100A DVD+RW drive,
    The JVC Player,
    My method (DVD Shrink/Nero)
    Or something else.
I have DVD Decrypter, but use it only for DVD-5 backups. I haven't figured out how to use IFO.
Does anyone else see simalar problems using this equipment or method?
    Thanks,
    Larry

Use DVD Shrink and buy Record now Deluxe, it is amazing. Get both user guides and programs from here:

    http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/user_guides.htm

The problem could be your DVD player since +R isnt as 'friendly' a format as -R.

Thanks for your help. I think I found the problem, I got out the JVC DVD player manual. It stated that DVD+RW will not always function properly. I burned to a DVD+R and it works well.
    Thanks,
    Larry
