i am using dvd decryper to decrypte my dvds to vobs> then use autogk to make them avi files. just bought a memorex dvd recorder(daul layer 16x) when using nero vision express that came with the burner(i have downloaded the updates) i receive an error "unable to create disc structure. burn process failed". in the preview window it looks like the whole movie finishes and goes through the credits. then when it seems to just about be done the erreor pops up. i've tried doing searches but do not see anything related to this exact error. already have a lot of coasters made. if anyone could steer me in the right direction. thanks!!!!! (i'm new to all of this so i'm sorry if this has been answered already, but i could not find the answer. i don't want to waist anyone time)

what are you trying to copy a dvd movie.
if so,you using the wrong file mode
    in decrypter do this
    MODE>>ISO>READ
    then to burn
    MODE>ISO>WRITE
    with regards hursty.
dont forget if your file is over 4.4 gb,you need to shrink it first.

thanks hursty i'll try that. when i read the autogk guide it said to decrypt the dvd in ifo mode then use autogk to convert to to avi file. then burn using nero. when i do this i can view it in windvd with no problems. just a problem when burning with ner vision express 3.

thought so,forget about creating avi files and using autogk or whatever you have.

under 4 gb. it seems like some type of structure protection. in nero vision express in the preview window you can see the credits roll at the end of the movie and then i get the error unable to create disc structure. burn process failed

you do not need nero vision express, you have done it all wrong, vision express is for converting avi files to dvd,of which you have done but didnt need to.
    just do this.
    dvd decrypter>mode>iso>read.
then once that is finished do this
    mode>iso>write
    it is that easy

nero vision express is not only for converting avi to dvd . it includes nero recode2 which is for making copies of entire dvd's if wanted . also the latest version of nero vision express 3 seems to have a problem as many seem to be having problems with it . using the previous version of nero vision express has solved these problems for me .

just remember, even if its under 4.4gb,its good to use dvd shrink, then burn with decrypter,
this way you can take out anything you dont want to keep, like subtitles etc.give it a try
and before you get stuck using decrypter to burn with shrink, you must disable nero in shrink.
    edit>preferences>file i/o>untick nero.
unless if course you want to use nero.
keep away from nero vision xpress!!!!
    with kind regards hursty
