uninstall adaptec aspi

    Hi all,

    I made a big mistake and accidently installed the Win95 version of Adaptec ASPI on my WinXP machine.

    Is there any way to safely uninstall them?

    I searched Adaptec's site and didn't find an answer.

    Please help!

    What problems exactly lead you to want to get rid of the win95 ASPI drivers you installed?

    Adaptec ASPI on WinXP Win2000 and WinNT machine:
    "winaspi.dll" and "wowpost.exe" must stay in System;
    "wnaspi32.dll" must stay in System32;
    "aspi32.sys" must stay in System32/Drivers.
    To do this download "aspichk.exe" to check and "aspi32.exe" to update if incorrect.
    Try olso "ForceASPI".
    After the update you must reboot your computer.
