    Hi,

I have T-Mobile Nokia 6030 ToGo prepaid which my sister boudht and now is regretting. I want to unlock it and use myself with another provider.

I tried to unlock it reading a tutorial with the Nokia code generator but didn't succeed on the first attempt and didn't want to try another codes because I am afraid I've done something wrong.

I've put the following info into the program (as sugested on one of the forums):
    Nokia
    DCT4 (experts only)
IMEI - 011125004296960 (the program added additional 0 in the end by itself)
    U.S.A.
    T-Mobile
The following values were in the program by default:
    MCC+MNC: 31020000
    Asic 2
    V2 33820

I tried code #1 and code #7 which are:

    #pw+778 560 601 647 060+1#
    #pw+497 557 520 547 456+7#

Both times I've got "Code error" message.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thank you for your help!

Are you sure about it? I am afraid the phone will get into hardlock.
How did you get these codes? What I did wrong?

    Thanks.

Do not use those codes m8, your mobile will hardlock!!!

Only the network provider or a pro with a MT box can unlock it.

    Good luck

Do not use the codes given. Only the provider can give you the correct code after you have had service with them for 90 days. You have a model type that we can not unlock. Someone without experience has provided you with codes that will not work.

Why is it different? Is it because it's a prepaid?

I'm not sure since my sister got it.
But I don't think it does, since it does not have any plan with it.
Pure prepaid. When I think about it I don't know why she bought it... :( argh...
    What's the difference?

I'm sure on the packaging, she will see FAV's or FAV 5 where you can set 5 of your favorite numbers in the phone and call for free.

    I'm sorry, I don't follow you.
First, I've got the package and I don't see anything about fave 5. Anyway, how does it help me to unlock it?

Behind the battery, do you see any numbers that are 225 showing what model it is?

    Darn, I think it's a 6030b...
I saw that there is such a thing and checked both the box and the sticker on the box and it says 6030. But when you mentioned it now, behind the battery I have:
    Model:6030 b
    Type:RM-225

    There is also
    FCC ID: QTRLM-225
    and also:
    IC: 661AB-RM225
