Ya i i had got this box from a friend and it was softmodded with a bad dvd drive any way i backed up the hdd and must have for got to lock the drive and now i get error code 5 i have all the experience doing all of this but just wanted to make sure i don't screw the drive
Just boot xboxhdm or whatever linux booter you used to backup the hdd and just lock it. Sounds like you took all the necessary precautions to me. Did you remember to get the eeprom files as well with the hdd backup?
