Unlocked nokia 6010, aftre that we getting Error 40

    Hi Geeks,

    We managed to unlock nokia 6010 T-Mobile which was purchased in US. It was unlocked it said "Phone restriction off", now when I inserted Airtel(Cell phone provider in India) SIM it is not able to pick the signal...when I choose the option menu I am able to see Airtel Live...when I choose some option there it says "error 40"....

    Please help me....

    The 6010 USA version is only compatible with GSM 850/1900 MHz and in India, all you have there are GSM 900, 1800 MHz networks. The phone will never work in that country and no, there are no ways of fixing it. Purchase a tri-band phone or quad-band.
