I'm a little confused... someplaces I've read that you CAN generate unlock codes for Nokia 6030's on Cingular but other places I've read that you can't. If you could generate a code for me that would be amazing! Nokia 6030 Cingular Pay as you go IMEI: 011 114 000 979 019 Activated for Gainesville, GA, 30506 area Thanks!
Sorry - I was just confused because some places it said you could unlock them and then there was that other thread...
Yes the 6030 can be unlocked using remote codes, but only with type rm 74 /rm 75 firmware, but your firmware is rm225 which you will have to contact your network provider for the code if you enter *#0000# into your phone you will see the info.
Sorry - just wanted to double check on this since no one replied to my post on Friday afternoon... "When I typed in the code you gave me it shows up as RM-75. Does that mean it's unlockable?"
Did I do something wrong? I entered the code and then it did nothing (no message) so I pressed my dial button and it said "Emergency calls only" Help : )
Insert a NON accepted sim card. When it says phone restricted, press "undo." It will ask for a restriction code, and enter the code in to the box on screen, and then input the code I gave you
That may have been a very premature thank you... When I got my new SIM card and put it in and turned on my phone there's a message that says, "Smart chip registration failed" Is that a problem with my phone still being locked or an issue with the chip? Thanks
