just upgraded ro Xpress 6 and tried to burn/copy a DVD off a DVDRW to a DVD+R and my IDE1008 8X DVD burner is acting very strange. The tray opens and closes a few times then it starts the burn process but doesn't complete. Also I noticed in info tools the there's some missing dll's? I can burn an image to my Memorex 16X DVD burner with no problem but copying from disc to disc seems to be a problem, any ideas? here's a Nero log if it helps: Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=?.?.?.?, size=30208 bytes, created 6/11/1997 6:01:02 PM ahead WinASPI: File 'G:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 10/26/2004 4:21:30 PM Nero Version: 6.6.0.6 (Nero Express) Recorder: <DVDRW IDE1008> Version: 0054 - HA 2 TA 0 - 6.6.0.6 Adapter driver: <> HA 2 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ? After I uninstalled... and took a nap... lol, I tried to copy and it worked! When I was having the problem before uninstall (besides the funky DVD drive tray thing) I noticed that when it did start to attempt to copy (never completed and had to abort) it appeared to be creating an image and not go directly from drive to drive. Now the option is there to do so and it worked like a charm as it had when Version 5 was installed. Why would InCD have caused this problem? Not that I intend to use or reinstall InCD, actually I had Roxio's Direct CD in the past and had only used/played with it a couple of times. Is this a know problem that Nero's aware of and/or is there a work around for this problem that may allow me to use InCD in the future? Thanks for your help!
Packet writing software tends to mess things up. InCD more than Drag to Disc. As far as the exact details why ... I couldn't tell ya.

Just follow flip228's suggestions below... remove InCD, take a nap (lol), then try to copy and it should work. No explination as to why InCD causes the problem but I personally can do without it. Good luck!
@bwbeye, According to randomdan's he/she doens't have InCD installed. @rnadomdan, I would first try updating your Nero version.
