    Hello,
first of all I want to apologize for both my english (is not my main language) and my "vocabulary" of xbox terms.

I have an old Xbox360 from 2010 that I modded through a website that does this kind of services.
I used the xbox to play my backup cds of games like Red Dead Redemption and Nba2K11.

Few days ago I wanted to try and see if my Xbox would read a backup copy of new games, so I updated my xbox to the new dashboard
(from this one: (it says I cant post link because Im a new member)
to this one: (it says I cant post link because Im a new member)).

Now both the old games and new games backups dont work anymore.

I understand that mindlessly updating my xbox was a really dumb thing to do, but is there any way to either downgrade my xbox to the old dashboard or to make all the backups (old and new) work on the new dashboard?

Unfortunately I dont really remember what kind of modding it has being done to my Xbox, it should be one out of this list from this website (it says I cant post link because Im a new member).

Im pretty sure though that it was not only a software mod but the disk reader of the xbox has been changed to make it read backup games.

    Thank you for your attention

you were most likely on a pre 13599 dash, and when you update past that dashboard your drive is flashed back to stock! you will have to have your drive re-flashed in order for your games to work!

True unless he has the locked firmware version update there are several drives on the 360 being updated to lock out firmware flashing so if you cannot reflash thats why

First of all thank you both for answering.
How does one re-flash a drive? is it an hardware or a software thing?
Sorry for being so ignorant about it

Since English is not your original language:
Flash: to erase and write new software to a chip/device.

That website you speak of, the only thing they did was flash your Xbox 360's drive with the latest iXtreme software (at the time) to allow the 360 to play backups.

With that update, Microsoft re-flashed the drive back to normal which only allows the drive to read legitimate game discs.

You don't need to downgrade. You need to re-re-flash the drive to the latest iXtreme software. If you can't do it (no offense, but I don't think you can), you simply need to take it back to the place that that you had to flash it, and let them re-flash it (or any other flashing site/store can do it).
