Why would you need something bigger than 20 or 60 gb?

Will this work on the ps3?

    Seagate Momentus 7200.1 ST910021AS - Hard drive - 100 GB - internal - 2.5" - SATA-150 - 7200 rpm - buffer: 8 MB

Various reports have said that if you get a hard drive with a 16mb buffer your game load times are going to be on crack.
