USB port

    I am new to this stuff,so can someone tell me if the players that have a usb port allow you to put a movie onto the thumb drive then watch a movie,rather than copying to a dvd? TY dark

    If the DVD player can play DivX files, then burning them to a flash drive works.

    You can copy the relevant VOB files from a DVD to the flash drive, but it will not play them sequentially - it plays one file and stops, then you select the next.

    It is possible to take the main title from a DVD and convert it into one large mpeg file using Vob2Mpg - but flash drives come with a limitation in that the largest single file size allowed is no larger that 4GB.
