USB to IDE cable to attach hdd to ps2

    i hav a fat ps2. 39001
    i hav usb advance/extreme bootable disk that works when i boot and compatible softwares with it, all i wanted to know that whether i can use usb to ide cable to attach my ordinary hdd to ps2 or it is necessary to have a usb enclousure hdd.
    if anyone has tried it let me know that does it works?

    ide to usb connectors is same as usb enclosed drive. only its already done for you in a neat little box. same thing tho

    since you have a fat ps2, you should just use the network adapter/hdd method.

    is someone has the network adapter and internal ps2 hdd then yer ok, but i think its way cheaper to just buy a nice big external drive.
