I have purchased a usb to 232 serial for flashing a eurovox. When installing, message said 'device wasn't verified by windows, would i like to install anyway?' I completed installation and proceeded to flash but an error message keeps saying 'No com port' Checked device manager which says hardware is present. I think I have everything in order but still no joy!! Does anyone know what could be wrong?? barm
In the device manager,I would then look to see what com port number the device is using on your pc. Whatever com post number is listed, make sure the same port number is listed on your flash program that you are using. If that doesnt work, I would delete the item in the device mamager and reinstall it using whatever drivers disk that came with the item.
Thanks shammy I think the disk that came with the adaptor is faulty.Have contacted seller and they are sending new loading software.In meantime i'm using one from maplin which i will return(14 day money back)when new disk arrives
