I'm new to all this (as I'm sure you'll figure out).

I ripped a DVD to my Hard Drive using DVD Decrypter. Now I want to delete it. I deleted the folder and the contents but I did not get back my HD space that it was taking up. I restarted my computer and still the 7+ GB it was taking up is not free. I have Win 98 SE.

I don't have Norton Utilities and the trash bin is emptied. I also ran Disk Clean-up. and searched for .ifo , .iso. , .vob , and .bup files.

    What am I missing?

Did you save the ISO to that folder, or to the c: directory? Do a search for the file name that DVD Decryper created and see if it saved somewhere other then the folder you deleted.
