Using LCD Tv as a computer Monitor

    Hey i have recently purchased a new lcd tv and wish to use it as a computer monitor as well. Just wondering how i would do this. It has a spot for a monitor cable so i just hooked it up to my video card but to no avail. it didnt work what do i need to do to get it to work

    check tv manual as might have to change a setting in it

    yeah im sure its something very simple. probably just a setting on your monitor like switching it to the dvd player from satillite/cable etc......whats the word im looking for....input maybe?
