I used nero to burn a vcd file, It runs great on my computer, but when I use my dvd player, the movie is all scrachy and slow. Is this a problem with the file, or is just that my dvd player is too shitty to keep up??

I dunno. Should it be a SVCD, but a VCD has max compatibility....
Maybe you burned it at high speed (>> 2X) and the DVD Played lens is worse then your PC's CD-ROM Unit lens or the blank CD-R had low quality?
