I am using Roxio trying to burn a VCD. When I burn it, it will not play back on anything. Am I using the wrong kind of cd? I am a newbie at this. I also tried a VCD on Dell Paint Shop Photo Album. I have the same problem. Do I need to use a DVD instead of cd to burn it to. I tried CD-R and CD-RW.

    Help!

    Thanks

it could be that the vcd is fine. some os's XP and win2000 have trouble reading VCD's, and so do some DVD players. It could be both are bad for you.

on the pc, try d'l-ing the vlc player, it might work. Take your VCD to your local hifi sore and test it in a few players.

Is there any better, easier, way to put a photo slide show with background music on a cd so that it will be compatible with DVD players? I want to give some as gifts.
